I have discovered that my Pentax LX needs to be shipped off for service and repair. There is a rubber bumper for the mirror that has deteriorated and the foam rubber in the top of the mirror box is coming apart. From what I have read at pentaxforums.com the best place to send it is to a gentleman on the east coast. In the mean time I am using one of my old spotmatics and the lenses that I have. So far I am getting good results with it and the film that the instructor wishes us to use. I will scan some of the images in and upload them here as time permits.
Going back to film and reviewing the basics is a good reminder of where I started and where I am now. I have been enjoying the film process and the way it forces me to slow down the photography process and think about the shots since there are more expenses involved with each image.
